Our Story

Hey there! We‘re a small team of Pokémon fans who got tired of always picking the same team for our playthroughs. You know how it goes - you start a new game, and somehow end up with Charizard again (we‘ve all been there!).

Our Journey

Where It All Began

I was replaying Pokémon Gold for probably the hundredth time last summer, and my friend called me out for picking Typhlosion yet again. We got into this whole debate about breaking out of comfort zones, and somehow ended up creating this tool just to prove a point. Pretty sure pizza and coffee were involved. Lots of coffee.

Why We Made This

The thing is, there are over 1,000 Pokémon now, but most of us only ever use about 20 of them. Remember that time someone wiped your team with a Bibarel and you couldn‘t even be mad because it was so unexpected? That‘s the kind of fun we‘re after. Sometimes the best adventures start with giving that weird-looking Pokémon a chance.

Features and Development

What We‘ve Built So Far

The randomizer was just the start. My little cousin wanted Pokémon pictures to color, so we added those. Then my roommate kept getting teams with five Dragons (which was hilarious but not very practical), so we made the filters. It‘s honestly just grown based on what people ask for.

  • Got a printer? Grab some coloring pages. My niece says the Wooloo one is the best, but she‘s biased because she loves sheep.
  • Trying to build an actual usable team? The filters keep you from accidentally making an all-Magikarp squad (though that would be kind of amazing).
  • Just here to mess around? That‘s cool too. Half our users are competitive players, the other half just like seeing what random combinations they get.
